The Invention of Lying ++++

Ricky Gervais directs and stars in this film set in an alternate world-where no-one knows how to lie! Everyone tells the truth and says exactly what they're thinking ALL THE TIME! When Gervais' character discovers that he can say something 'that isn't', he uses this talent to steal money by claiming he has loads in his bank account. Later on, of course, it causes him problems in his relationship, but if you want to know more, just watch the film! It is only 95 minutes long anyway! It's a funny film, probably just because Gervais directed, but it also features good performances from Louis CK, Tina Fey, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill and Rob Lowe.

Yes Man +++

In this 2008 comedy, Jim Carrey stars as a bank worker who joins a cult that forces himto answer 'yes' whenever he is asked a question, which leads to him being dropped into many uncomfortable situations, but helps him to meet Zooey Deschanel, the girl of his dreams. It's very funny, charming, and probably Carrey's 2nd or 3rd best film, after A Series of Unfortunate Events and of course, the modern classic Bruce Almighty

Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark faces pressure from the
government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the
military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with
Pepper Potts, and James "Rhodey" Rhodes at his side, must forge new
alliances - and confront powerful enemies.Far better than 'Avatar',mainly due to the lack of 3D,this sees great performances by it's stars:Robert Downey Jr,Mickey Rourke,Sam Rockwell,Scarlett Johansenn,Gwenyth Paltrow and Samuel L Jackson.
Avatar +

When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully
decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora.
There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's
intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine
for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In
exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers
intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel
Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi
people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond
with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful
alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless
extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight
back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.
This is the highest grossing film of all time,thanks to the extra $2.50 for 3D screenings! I hated Avatar. I hate the entire idea,the entire cast,the entire culture of '3D revolution'. James Cameron should stop inventing new ways to make more money with his films than before and more time writing good scripts and finding talented actors. Sam Worthington is a terrible actor. Clash of the Titans was awful because it tried to be Avatar 2 by featuring Sam Worthington AND turning it into 3D at the last minute,therefore having ugly visuals!
